If you understand this you could receive enlightenment.
"Om poornamidam poornamidaha
Poornat poorna mudachyate
Poornasya poornamadaya
Poornamewavashishyate"
(Isa Upanishad)
Meaning:
That (pure consciousness) is full (perfect); this (the manifest universe of matter; of names and forms being maya) is full. This fullness has been projected from that fullness. When this fullness merges in that fullness, all that remains is fullness.
We have to consciously wish for the fullness. I will explain this with a story. Once there was a fire accident at a factory and people were looking for water every where. They found a chemical factory near by and asked them that they need H2O. They said they have both hydrogen and oxygen. The people took hydrogen and tried to put off the fire. But, unfortunately the fire grew much bigger. Again they used oxygen to put off the fire. But, the fire was only growing. They came to know that hydrogen is combustible gas and oxygen is itself the basic requirement for the fire to persist. While they were not bad things having incomplete materials did not solve their purpose.
I will give another story. Once God appeared before a businessman, his wife and his child and promised to fulfill their wish. The businessman asked God to fulfill his wish as follows.
' I want to expand my business through out India this year. I want to have branches in every city. Make a net profit of 10000 crores.'
Now is his wife's turn. She wanted 100 kgs of Gold.
Next came child's turn. He initially thought he would ask for a big icecream. But, later thought that since God is capable of giving any thing and everything, he asked God himself to be with him and fulfill his every wish.
Do you want to know whose wishes God has fulfilled? God fulfilled the businessman's wish and he expanded his branches everywhere. Wife received 100 kgs of Gold as a legal heir to her deceased parents since the entire family died in a road accident.
God kept his promise of being with him always and fulfilled his every wish. He was always seen blissful and his parents were surprised how he could ask the God to be with him.
Their minds were doubting whether it is possible to ask such a wish. Their thoughts were biased by their knowledge and proverbs they have learnt in their life. They thought that it is greedy to ask God himself to be available with them.
Greed is an unconscious expression of desire to achieve Oneness with God.
Ego is an incomplete component of the 'super ego'.
An enlightened person experiences a feeling similar to 'super ego' as believed by psychiatrists.
An enlightened person has a feeling that the air, the birds, the trees, the animals, the planets etc. around him are also part of him and he can not be seperated from them.
Start Consciously wishing for the fullness to be with you.
